Fashion Self Serve at Spring Lavish

I planned a fashion show in under a week and wow was it amazing! I started Fashion Self Serve in June of 2024 and it's been such a wonderful journey building the brand. Toronto's fashion television and I were best friends as a young girl, I've always admired models, the elite looks on the runway but never wanted to be a model myself, thus I created my own network and I'm really loving it! Of course when creating a network, organization or brand you need to be unique and different so I pride myself on incorporating models of all heights, sizes and experience.

Spring Lavish was the name of the event, I ironically captured the birthday party photos of the event organizer Marc Decor a few years prior. The vibe of the party was wonderful, Marc Decor has a true gift in decorating and design; makes sense why I was his personal assistant for a few years. Venue always filled to capacity, I admit I should've had the models go on a tad bit later and next time I will. It's been a while since I've worked with Marc Decor and this is the first time he's seen me in action coordinating an event. I love when the models get a full house, they deserve it but as a new event coordinator I've felt really great about our growth overall. Being a proud born Jamaican, our genre of music is called reggae or dancehall so I love to bridge the gap with the Canadian talent, guests and staff. We Jamaicans pride ourselves in how we look, our style that makes each one of us unique and of course literally everything to do with our culture. I'm not sure who prepared the food because of all the running around I was doing but another very well job done.

Antonella florals was the designer of the evening, a beautiful model I met that aspired to be a designer and has done just that in under a year. I'm so proud of her and all that she's accomplished thus far. This is my second time showcasing her designs and it probably won't be the last.
